Ford's Jim Farley

Ford's Jim Farley is calling on American's do rally behind electric vehicles stating they are superior and are super smooth with great acceleration.  Even claiming he owns an F150 Lightening.  He then claims that America needs to lead the EV market and not cede our leadership position to other countries.

Do you think Jim bought his F150 shitbox?  No.  Second - he wants American's to rally behind electric vehicles because no one wants them and Ford is losing 100,000USD on every electric vehicle they sell.  The only way they can stop losing money is by scaling their ev production.  EVs are not a superior product.  They're stupid.  Yeah, it has 300 miles of range when you charge at night.  But I'm sure Farley has a cat 2 charger for his house, if not his own super charger.  The range decreases in cold weather or when hauling a load.

Here's the deal - Ford followed Biden's lead and is losing a ton of money by doing what the government wanted instead of what the consumer wanted.  Like why did Ford and every other manufacturer jump on this band wagon?  It's like a Joe Biden bukaki festival.

It irritates the shit out of me that some jackass like Joe Biden can declare the future of transportation is electric and then place all these cafe regulations on traditional cars making it nearly impossible for an ICE car to meet them.  Because "they" don't want people driving gas powered cars.  They're bad for the environment.  Yadayadayada.  Maybe they wouldn't be so bad for the environment if they wouldn't stop cutting down all the trees to build roads and new neighborhoods.

Like it or not, America is built a certain way.  A reliance on automobiles, a desire for freedom to move about the country at will, and the dream of owning a home.  None of this is conducive to not having a car.  A car is freedom.

Does anyone in government think American's want to live in high rise apartment buildings and walk everywhere?  That model may work in NY, but does it work anywhere else?  Maybe China or Japan?

I recently read Chevron doctrine has been overruled - thereby limiting the power of federal agency regulators.  It's about time.  These unelected bureaucrats placing laws and restrictions on the books without voter approval has been an abuse of power for nearly 50 years.  It's time to stop and I am pleased the Supreme Court has ruled to repeal the power unelected bureaucrats have been reeling onto American's for decades.  No more EPA garbage coming from Jennifer Granholm.  No more racial injustice nonsense coming from Pete Butigeg or Janet Yellen.  No more willfully breaking immigration laws by Mayorkas.  These people need to be reigned in and the Supreme Court agrees.  Maybe our institutions aren't broken.  They've just become bureaucratic machines that accumulated power little by little until they had a lot.  Now their dicks have become too big for their britches and someone's cutting them down to size.

Folks and Friends

John McCain used to call us friends when giving a speech. Joe Biden calls us folks. Both are offensive.

29 June 2024

You did such a great job. You answered all the questions. God save the queen man.

Paradigm differences

We were talking today about the point of life.  He said the point of life was to be happy.  Ok?  I disagreed and said the point of life was to be successful.  How can you be happy if you aren't successful?  Why do I have to be successful to be happy?  <Mind Blown> My son then said the difference between democrats and republicans is that republicans don't care about people they don't know and democrats value all people.  Obviously, our discussion was not going anywhere.  My son was obviously disappointed hearing my thoughts on happiness, success and life.  Now I wonder if I've offended him or damaged his self esteem.

He is having a hard time finding a job.  He was doing something for an AI company making prompts and that didn't work out.  Then they moved him to a job rating prompts and responses created by others.  That seems to have dried up too.  I don't know how it works.  All I know is he gets up whenever he feels like it, plays some computer games and was doing some of the work on his schedule.  Not the company's schedule.  And now they're not giving him any more work to do.  The company's name is Outlier.  I think it's a scam.  I don't think my son demonstrated a strong work ethic.

A friend of mine has developed a computer game.  He needs someone who knows C++ and Python.  He spoke with my son and was interested in hiring him.  My son was given some videos to watch and tasked with learning something about blueprint.  That was two days ago.  I asked him if we watched the videos.  He said no.  I'm like WTF - someone is giving you an opportunity and you're not doing anything with it.  Do you want to do it or not?  I don't know.  Well start by watching the videos and then make a decision.

My son didn't want to go back to Chick-Fil-A because it doesn't have any direct correlation to his chosen career path.  Should I have put my foot down and said get a job a chick-fil-a if it's the only one you can get.  Sitting in your room playing computer games really isn't an option.

His mother sticks up for him.  The economy is bad.  OK - That may be true.  So don't do anything?  I guess having a job is not better than having no job?  I don't understand.

The lack of motivation is concerning to me.

When I was younger, I started working at age 16 and I've held a job ever since.  I wanted a job.  I wanted to make money so I could do what I wanted and buy things.  I didn't like asking my parents to fund my lifestyle.  I wanted to be responsible for myself.  I remember when I quit college.  My Dad said I could live at home - I had to have a job and I had to pay rent.  I think it was 400 bucks a month or something.  I don't really remember.  I was totally fine paying rent and working.

I guess we'll see how the coming holiday week plays out.  I work on Monday and am off throughout the remainder of the week.  Family time.

A wake up call

Perhaps Joe Biden's terrible debate performance is a wake up call to the Boomer Generation that they are in fact old and it's time to step aside and hand the reigns to the next generation.

But the hippies and gen x don't have the experience. Whose fault is that? Step aside.

Media

Of course I couldn't let a presidential debate go by without having at least some commentary on what we witnessed.  A few thoughts:  What we witnessed was literally 90 minutes of uncapitalized opportunities.  And it was disappointing.  Donald Trump didn't take the opportunities in front of him to hit Joe Biden not just with insults but with policy decisions that have led to the problems we are facing in this country.  Trump did't pounce on the opportunity to destroy Biden on the fitness questions talking about the video of him locking up, mumbling like an idiot, dozing off, having to be redirected or led off stage by Obama or the Hur report slamming Biden as an well meaning elderly man with a poor memory.  Did slam student loan forigeness or the Build Back Better act pumping money into the economy thereby causing inflation.  He didn't say he help with fentanyl overdoses by securing the boarder.  Frankly, Donald's performance last night was subpar and extremely disappointing.  Some bark.  No real bite and that was so disappointing.

Biden on the other hand - he was definitely on something.  He is just too old and not with it enough.  He's a feeble old man.  I don't like him.  His agenda.  His beliefs.  His claim of decency.  He's a hollow carcass of the man he once was.  He's pathetic.  He shouldn't be respected because he's an elder.  He's worthless.  He was worthless as a Senator and is more worthless as a president.  He's a career politician who hasn't done anything for the country as a whole.  He panders to get votes.  I can't stand him and last night reinforced by disgust for him.  He should be sitting in a nursing home watching re-runs of the price is right  or watching Cocoon with Wilford Brimley playing on a VCR 24/7.

This was also the first time I watched anything on TV since 2020.  CNN and ABC news people are "in the tank" for Biden.  Talking him up like he's an effective leader and has really done a good job as president?  They're fawning over him is absolutely nauseating - for no reason other than what they're saying hasn't been good for America.  It's like these people are living in an alternate reality.  The fawning over a failing old man is offensive.  DO they really thing America is so stupid?

I saw a cell phone ad with some grungy looking man hold his pink iPhone because he got a free upgrade or some shit.  Pink.  Surrender your man card.  Men don't own pink phones.  If they do they're feminine gay men.  Seriously.

And the most offensive commercial of the evening was ABC's Sunday evening PRIDE special that will air this Sunday.  WTF?  Sunday evening used to be when ABC aired the World of Disney on TV and people watched Walt shill for his parks and movies.  At least it was content suitable for families to watch together.  This pride special is an homage to the alphabet community.  What did me in was showing to gay men kissing on the mouth.  Two gay men with beards.  Keep that shit in the bedroom.  I don't want my kids watching it nor do I want them to think that behavior is normal.  It's disgusting.  The rainbow flag is not a symbol of love and acceptance.  It's a symbol of filth and perversion.  Especially with the cross dressing drag queens.  This is not suitable for children.  It's an active attempt to destroy America and our culture/society.

I was watching a church discussion where members of a church were contemplating the acceptance of alphabet people into their congregation.  Overwhelmingly, the people in the group favored accepting alphabet people.  I wonder how many of them were just saying that because it's trendy and they didn't want to come off as being bigoted and closed minded?  Wait until some drag queen couple shows up for worship and they all fawn over them to make them feel welcome.  And those that really have any moral principle will be repulsed and finally speak out.  The church has ceded its moral authority to the demons that walk among us.  But God loves everybody and forgives anyone who asks.  This does not compute.  None of it does.

King George

Always mellows me out when I'm in a perpetual rage. I don't know if it's the simplicity, genuineness or honesty in what he chooses to sing about.

The city 🏙️ I live

Has turned into a liberal shithole with apartments going up everywhere and road construction up and down the main thoroughfare. And there's a ton of foreigners with these "please be patient student driver" stickers on all these high end cars. Go fuck yourself.

I've been thinking about the government. They're pushing too many regulations on business, taxing everything and literally trying to destroy America with all this trans friendly legislation. These people are mentally ill.

I read they're going to put a chime in new cars that sounds when you're driving too fast. Go fuck yourself. I'll drive as fast as I want. It's not the governments job to regulate shit.

And they declared death by guns a health epidemic. And they want to ban assault rifles. News flash - hand guns kill more people than assault rifles.

Eventually there is going to a rebellion against the government. Stop doing things to us. Stop pushing agendas on us. Stop telling us what we can and can't say. Stop telling us the future of the car is electric. Fuck off and leave us alone.

A nation in decline

How do I know we are a nation in decline? The president declares protecting the rights of nonbinary people a matter of national security.

These people don't even know who what they are. They're mentally unwell.

But for potato head to say that's a matter of national security? He's demented.

This is country has a vocal 1% ruining it for the rest of us.

I've talked to people from other countries and they don't have these problems. Just the freaks in the west.

Shawarma

My colleague insisted I try eating at a shawarma restaurant. It was a cafe/hookah bar….

I have the palate of a 5 year old. Interesting flavors. Not what i am accustomed. Don't think I'll be repeating the experience anytime soon.

Hookah - a smoking apparatus like a bong with a hose, coal, water and whatever they heat with the coal. It made a ton of smoke as people exhaled. I asked told it was worse than a cigarette. It is.

I didn't try it and we stayed in the no smoking section.

Quite a weird dinner. That's about all the dei I can handle for the month.

I wonder

I wonder how my sister and her husband will spend their remaining days? I wonder if he will stay in a hospital or die at home.

When my Nanna got sick, my pappy made the decision to bring her home. They had a hospital bed put in the living room and she died there. At home. With her family.

When my dad was last in the hospital, I didn't know if he was going to live or die. I didn't want to bring him to our house because I didn't want to put my family through that. He went into a memory care facility and was put on hospice. He is one of the miracles that graduated from hospice. He's doing better having moved into assisted living compared to how he was living previously at his house.

My mom isn't doing as well as my dad. I don't know what her situation is or how her remaining days will be. She hasn't taken good care of her health and my dad hasn't forced her to take care of herself. I don't know what to do with her. It's kinda sad and I try not to think about it.

When my wife was extraordinarily sick…. I didn't give consideration to her life ending. Her dying was not an option I had on the table. There was a tsunami of prayer and positive thought coming from around the world for her healing. I think she was a miracle.

I would visit her daily while she was in a coma. I'd talk to her about the kids and shared many thoughts with her. I read Harry Potter to her because I knew it was her favorite book. I made recordings of the kids of them talking to her and wishing her well. I played those to her. She pulled through. She is tough as nails and she is a fighter. She's amazing.

How do you spend time with someone who's made the choice to go into hospice care because they don't want to live in their current circumstance? Would you spend the days together? Make them as special and loving as possible? Would there be tears. Would there be tension or an aura of resolute calmness. Will they eat together? Pray together? Laugh and cry together? All of the above?

I wonder if either of them resent the doctors who spent nearly 30 minutes bringing him back to life. They had to have known the prognosis and how debilitating his survival would be. They saved him - but in essence they gave him a slow and painful death and the last 6 months have been terrible. Does anyone involved have any regrets?

The last breath will be painful. I hope there is a sigh of relief and comfort knowing he has been restored in heaven. Those still here will mourn the loss-his wife, his daughter, his parents, friends and congregation.

At least now he has a choice and he made the choice. May he go peacefully. May my sister be happy his pain is gone and he is at peace. I hope she is able to accept, mourn and move on. Same with their daughter. What a heartbreaking situation for all involved.

No one ever expects to lose their spouse of 30 years at such a young age.

Cherish your loved ones.

Random Stuff

Got the call from my sister that her husband has elected to go into Hospice Care.  She called and said I have something to tell you and I don't want to talk about it.  He decided he doesn't want to live like this.  I don't blame him.  On one hand, I believe the hospital did him a disservice when they worked on him for nearly a half hour to bring him back from cardiac arrest.  His time was up.  This journey has been hard on him, her and their family.  It's very unfortunate.  I guess the good thing is he will hopefully get excellent care as his life draws to and end.  It's kind of ironic that nothing happened to the person driving the car.  No assets, no jail time.  No nothing.  I wonder how the medical bills will be handled going foward?

I mentioned I was reading a book by Peter Navarro and it has been an interesting read.  There are a few more things that stick out to me...  If Donald Trump really believed in Make America Great Again, wouldn't he be writing this book instead of Peter Navarro?  Also, it is interesting that if Trump really does believe in the MAGA agenda, why is he so easily swayed by other people?  It's disappointing...  He talks a good talk but I don't think he's committed to the cause.  He campaigns on the cause, but isn't steadfast in his commitment to be tough on China and bring jobs back to America.  The business people want all this cheap labor.  It's sad.  Capitalism is ugly.  Politics.

After reading the book and watching the actions taken by the current administration, I don't want to pay taxes ever again.  They way our tax dollars are being used is absolutely offensive.  It doesn't matter if you vote democrat or republican.  Behind closed doors, it's the same uniparty.  Our institutions are rotten.  Burn them to the ground and start over.

I think I'm going to sell off some audio gear.  The stuff I've got now is overkill for my listening space.  I don't think I'll have have a dedicated listening room.  The tower speakers and amp never really open up because my space is too small.  I enjoy listening to the bookshelf speakers I picked up in March more than the big boys.  The towers were end game speakers.  The amp was an end game amp.  I don't see a reason to continue hanging on to the gear if it's not being used to its potential.   Sooo....  After the smaller system is tweaked I'm probably look at selling close to $2,000.00 in gear.  Someone else can enjoy it.  I don't know.  The road to hell is paved with the best intentions.

I also heard the current administration has a team to censor "cheap fakes" aka unedited video that shows how bad potato head really is.  He's broken.  He's damaged.  He's old.  He's done.  It is ridiculous to see his allies circle the wagons to protect him.  Dr. Jill on the view-unbelievable.  This rotten administration has been gaslighting America for 3.5 years.  Whoever votes for him just can't get past the mean tweets.

I can't wait for the debate.  What are they using to juice him up for a couple hours? Cocaine? Amphetamines?  Adderall?  He's not competent enough to stand trial for mishandling and possessing confidential documents, but he can run the country?  His justice department refuses to release the Hur transcript?  If they had nothing to hide, they would release it with a bow on it.  But they don't.  Because they know Joe is cooked.  Gaslight Joe can rot in hell.

WNBA

It's quite obvious with WNBA doesn't like Caitlyn Clark. There have been quite a few fouls against her that could lead to severe injury. She's white. She has privilege. She's done more for the WNBA than anyone else. And they hate her for it. She has elevated their sport higher than they can do by themselves. Maybe she should quit. And it will remain second tier for eternity.

Pride Month

Pirde is one of the seven deadly sins.  And all the alphabet people have plenty of pride.  Because they need to be celebrated for their sexual preference or their preference to cross dress or whatever.  Good for them.

All of a sudden pride flags are popping up all over the building I work in.  HipHipHooray.

Do you know what I see when I see a pride flag?  I see the celebration of perversions and deviances of the mind and the flesh.  It is repulsive.  And to think these people expect us to celebrate them?  Really? It's not celebrating... it's throwing their lifestyle in our faces.  To some degree, I think it is a recruitment tool.  It's an opportunity to mainstream homosexuality, transsexuality, drag shows, and sex.

It's a lifestyle of filth.  It's disgusting.

I don't want to work in a facility that engages and supports this nonsense.  It is offensive.

Aliens

There is a possibility aliens are living among us. That could explain trans people.

Speaking of defective, have you ever noticed how people with Down's syndrome are genuinely happy and go lucky most of the time? Maybe that's the best genetic deformity one could ask for.

I heard the elderly may be swing voters for Biden. Probably because they want to feel useful so they’ll vote for one of their own just to feel better about themselves and their place in society.

Being mean today.

Star Wars

Last night I listened to the original Star Wars score....  It's been YEARS since I played it.  And you know what?  It was a HOOT!  I remember having it on a vinyl record.  My Dad played it on his stereo then I started playing it on my stereo.  The more it was played, the worse it sounded due to a seven year old handling the record.  Scratching it every time it was inserted or taken out of the sleeve.  Putting a penny on the tone arm because it sound better.  Oh the days.

As a kid I always enjoyed the first side of the album more than the second.  Just sayin'.  The second side also very good, too.

Anyway, it is such an enjoyable album.  It's textured a little thinner than John's more contemporary work.  I wonder if that is due to limitations of the recording technology employed back in the day.

One of the saddest things

China is bad for the United States.  China is bad for our economy.

One of the things you often hear in layoffs is the person laid off has to train some foreigner or immigrant how to do the job they just got laid off from.  I've heard it in computer programming and animators for movies.

The fact is every business wants a lower cost to either make more profit, offer a lower price or a combination of the two.

In the book I'm reading, they talk about NAFTA taking manufacturing jobs from Americans because the Mexicans will do the job cheaper.  Less cost.  More profit.  Also more competitive?  How do you define competitive?

Here is one of the most sad things I've ever read.  It has to do with jobs being offshored from America to China.  Specifically the manufacturing of furniture.  This is a conversation between Democrat congressman Tim Ryan and furniture maker Jerry Treharn:

"Ryan: Some of the workers at companies, literally their last act at the factory was to unbolt the machine and load it up to be shipped off to China.  Treharn: I event talked to a fella down there.  They wanted to send him over to China to teach the people how to run the machines that they were shipping over there.  He was sixty-three years old.  He said: I only got two more years to go, and I can retire so I'm not going to bother doing it.  He said: Bad enough they took my job.  Now they want me to show'em how to do it, too"

I almost started to cry.  Not only for the loss of jobs in America, but the way they're being lost.

Capitalism can be ugly when they only thing valued is profit.  At all costs.

Friends

I think I’ve alienated all of them with either my political tirades or intolerance on social media. My family tolerates me.  I maybe have two friends. I’m not smart. I’m dumb. Or maybe just stupid.

On another note. The more I do my job the more I think I should be doing something else. It’s been 7 months. I don’t enjoy my work. I’m not particularly proud of the work I do. I hate most of my team. Coming back home wasn’t a good idea.

Crazy Times

What is a woman?

Why is that so hard to define?

Ms Maryland title was awarded to a trans-woman. - someone with a penis. Is that really selecting a Ms Maryland? This kind of stuff will continue until every biological woman competing against biological men refuse. But for whatever reason, they don't. Isn't that weird?

Ms Alabama title was awarded to a biological woman who must weigh 300 pounds. It's a beauty pageant. How do they define beauty? If playboy magazine still exists I don't think they'll be rushing to do a photo spread with this one.

I can't wait to see which one of these people wins Ms America. They've been backed into a corner. The other 48 women should boycott.

There won't be any teenage boys masturbating while fantasizing about either of these people. Maybe that's not true?

Maybe the point is beauty pageants are outdated. Maybe the point is that the traditional view of beauty is ugly.

What? How else do you explain it?

The trans community says sex is assigned at birth. That's not true. Sex is recorded at birth. The decoupling of sex and gender is the strangest thing of modern times. There were always masculine women and feminine men. And there were men that dressed like women. I never heard of a woman that dressed like a man. I guess that's not okay anymore.

I know a man who had his penis removed. I know a woman with a prosthetic penis?

It seems we're doing an injustice to the mentally ill. Gender affirming care is really legalized genital mutilation. Fixing what's wrong between the ears isn't a surgical procedure between the legs.

27

All it would take is 27 bullets.

Tattoo

I don't think I will ever understand or accept the culture of tattoo.  I think it's ugly.  I am very judgmental against people who ink their skin up with all these stupid symbols, designs, words and whatever.  It must mean something to them to make a stupid decision to have it permanently graffitied onto their skin.  It becomes part of them.  Like whatever.

I think these people are weak.  They stand for nothing.  They go where ever the cultural wind blows.  They're nasty.  And dirty.  And lazy.  People with tattoos on their neck and/or skull are even worse.  Like WTF is wrong with you? I'm looking at you Post Malone.  You too jellyroll.  Effin Idiots.

I am curious about the ratio of people on some form of public assistance with tattoo vs those without tattoo.  I'm willing to bet more people with tattoo are on some form of public assistance.  Why should the taxpayer be subsidizing the acquisition of food or housing when these morons spend money on crap like tattoo?  They're not responsible.  Theyre short sighted.  And theyre stupid.  Morally deficient.

It’s about time

For all these old people aged 75 and above in government to step aside.  Like seriously.  Go and enjoy the rest of your life and all the money you made screwing America.

Transportation

I love cars.  I love buying cars, too.  And Dave Ramsey says the easiest to stay poor is to continue buying things with four wheels and an engine.  My current car is a 2004 Lexus LS430.  It's 20 years old.  It has 120,000 miles on it.  It's got a 22 gallon gas tank.  It typically costs 70-80 dollars to fuel it.  Every week.  I've stated I want to get a V6 because a car with a V8 is just so expensive to operate given the cost of fuel and the distance I drive.  We did the math for MPG and realized I would save only 1,000 dollars a year by switch to a v6.  And a newer car that I'd be willing to drive is anywhere between 15-25k.  So... no new car purchase anytime soon.

Whenever I get tired of driving my car and want something newer or more fuel efficient, it's always helpful to watch videos by the car wizard or the car care nut done about old Lexus vehicles.

If Washington is the swamp

If Washington is the swamp, the White House is the snake pit.

First - I 100% loved the ideas Donald Trump campaigned on in 2016.  Buy American.  Hire American.  Get out of these rotten trade deals with other parts of the world that have harmed America and its people and enriched third world developing shit hole countries like China.  They don't play by the rules and I think they are out to win the global economic war.

Second - Out of all the members of Trump's staff, Peter Navarro's economic and trade policies and discussions resonated with me throughout Trump's administration.  Navarro understands the war and what's at stake and he wants to win.

Third - It is so interesting to read this first hand account of the White House during trump's administration.  It was a dysfunctional mess with back stabbing, slow walking and contradicting of trump's agenda.  By the swamp creatures - or as I will call them, the snakes of Washington.

I think Trumps administration was hindered by the lack of political experience trump had.  Snakes from the pits of institutionalized bureaucracy made their way into the administration as payback for getting trump elected and political favors for deals made along the way on the road to the Whitehouse.  I don't think Trump understood how Washington worked and he was naive to think the presidency would function like a board room.  It didn't and doesn't.  There are too many competing agendas and existing alliances and agendas that are nurtured in the complicated relationships of power.  Favors owed.  Payback is a bitch.

It's really unfortunate - because had trump had a tam of people on board with his agenda and way of thinking, his presidency could have been transformational for America.  While aspects of his agenda were implemented, many parts were slow walked and fell by the wayside.

A présidence job is to charm the snakes into moving on the presidents agenda.  But in the end, a snake is always a snake.  And the snake always looks out for itself.

It's interesting that Peter Navarro is currently serving a prison sentence for not appearing in a house committee inquisition...  Steve Bannon was ordered to report to prison on July 1 for not complying with a subpoena.  Trump says he has no qualms about going to prison should he be sentenced in NY.  All these people view this as being martyrs and unjustly persecuted.

Interesting times we live in.

Side note - My next book I'm excited to read is Deception by Rand Paul.  I'm sure it's going to be a dandy. One thing to ponder - are these books true accounts, embelishment or outright lies?

Watching a recording session

I was never an excellent musician.  I think I was an okay musician.  At any rate, I think one of the coolest jobs in the world would be that of a studio musician.  To play music in motion pictures and albums would be a hoot.  Like to get played to make history...  that would have been rad.

I had a sample of being a studio musician when I played for a stage show 8 or so years ago.  The rehearsed once and then played the show for two performances.  It was a halloween Christmas carol mashup so to speak.  It was cool.

I also got a test of it when I played with the St Martins symphonic winds on Sunday's.  I enjoyed that a lot too.

This is a video of the recording session of NBC nightly news main theme.

Here is a recording of the entire NBC nightly news suite - which is rarely (if ever) played in it's entirety.

NAIVETE

One thing I've learne in the last couple weeks is the world doesn't work the way we think it does.  Rather, there is a gross underworld that makes things happen or prohibits them or slow walks them.  Whether it be at a national political level or a business...  Things don't work the way they're intended or supposed to.  Everything is rigged.   It's become more and more obvious every single day.  Whether it's the top levels of government, a franchise location or a personal relationship.  There are elements of power, control, deception and obstacle.  No one can accomplish their agenda or do their job without relying on someone else.  Sure - someone is technically driving the bus... But someone else maintains the engine, makes sure the route is accurate and someone else makes sure there's enough gas to get to the destination.  Even if there is enough gas to get to the destination, someone else can be deflating the tires so bus isn't running as efficiently as possible.  Someone charged with giving directions could give you the scenic route when you asked for the most direct route.  Better yet, the bus could break and the mechanic installs inferior parts and the bus breaks again.

I'm reading a book by Peter Navarro about the Trump administration.  It's an interesting read and disturbing at the same time.

One thing for certain - the president is literally just a puppet or figure head.  Things get accomplished through the bureaucratic process.  Those in the process are the ones who decide what gets done or not done based on THEIR motivations.  There is no allegiance to the president or his agenda.  There is allegiance to their ideals and agenda for the country.

So - Washington is a tragedy and the swamp analogy used by President Trump is accurate.  The swamp does need to be drained.  I don't think it will ever happen unless there is a civil war of sorts and our institutions are burned to the ground and rebuilt from scratch.  It is disheartening and disappointing.

AI

They say iOS 18 will have AI incorporated in it. Do we have a choice to participate in this? I guess I'll be staying in iOS 17. I don't trust any of this new technology.

Robert DeNiro

I just love seeing someone with TDS destroy their career in a matter of minutes. Robert has been an outspoken punk since Donald debuted on the political landscape. Running his mouth like he's some kind of gangster mafia boss. The truth is he's an entitled Hollywood liberal and just alienated at least half of his fan base being an operative for the camp Biden.

Since 2016 I have shunned most mainstream entertainment. As soon a some celebrity starts running their mouth spewing their political ideologies, I'm done with them. Because they're famous they have a megaphone to broadcast their feelings. In my mind they're interfering with elections. Most of the people who worship celebrities and follow their trends are lemmings incapable of thinking independently. These celebrities prey on their vulnerabilities.

Tom Hanks may very well be a good actor. I refuse to watch any of his movies due to his political stance. Same with robert deniro. Madonna. George Clooney. Stephen King. Jim Carrey. Meryl Streep. Mark Hamill. They're all a bunch of washed up, has been losers.

When Hilary Clinton called us a basket of deplorables - it cemented by disdain for everything that woman and her rotten family stand for.

And why are so many Hollywood elites in the tank for liberalism and globalism? I don't think it's good for America.

Brilliant

Trump's an asshole. And the way he handle this with the prime minister of japan was epic!  One for the ages.  Maher was amused by Trump...
