My son is in choir. I asked him when they are going to UIL contest. He informed me his group is not going to contest because the behavior of the ensemble has been terrible. The choir director said she wasn't going to take them. I'm like why are you taking an opportunity away from my child to perform because you can't manage your classroom? If you ask me she should have left the misbehaving kids and took the kids with good behavior. What if they didn't do well? I really don't care how they scored. What I care about is they prepared, went to be judged and came away learning something from the experience. I don't care about stifling opportunity for knuckle heads. Unfortunate situation.
At tonight's concert they sounded fine and should have been given the experience to perform and compete.
