I hope I die soon after a wonderful musical experience either attending a concert or performing in a band. I find quality musical experiences to be extraordinarily satisfying to my soul. Tonight there was a concert performed by the University of Texas wind symphony. Two pieces were written by Viet Cuong. He does some really interesting things with the ensemble. Don't quite know how to describe it but he brings certain sounds out of a band that I've never heard before. Listening to these works is just so inspiring - whenever a band does something innovative, it's very interesting because I am intimately familiar with the sounds and colors a band can produce. Then Viet Cuong enters the arena and my mind is blow. It brings me such happiness and joy. It grounds me like nothing else. If I were to die after an experience life that, life will have been good.
