Today Z and I embarked on driving to Wisconsin for his job. We got the car
Loaded up and got to Overland Park KS by 8pm. The car ran great. His car has the 90 day trial of satellite radio activated. We were jamming to 80s music the whole way. Run DMC, J Geil’s band, Kenny Loggins, Guns N’ Roses , Huey Lewis, Michael Jackson, Tina tourney, Cindy Lauper, Madonna. It was a blast. All commercial free and never having to change the station no matter where we were. Great for a road trip!
11 hours in the car was murder on my back. Hopefully it will not be blown on arrival to Wisconsin. Thankfully z’s apartment is a first floor unit At least we won’t have to carry anything up stairs
Z made the decision that we weren’t going to pay tolls on this trip. I thought he was crazy going on rural highways. It was the best part of the trip this far. We drove through rural Oklahoma and rural Kansas. Saw a horse ranch that must have had 200 horses standing on a plateau. We saw more cows than other people. We saw a mini stampede of cows. Saw some breathtaking light radiantly shining through holes in the clouds. And drove on a piece of Route 66. No traffic whatsoever able to keep speed of 85 mph with no law enforcement intervention.
L asked that we stop at Ollie’s good stuff cheap to look for pans, dishes and silverware. She had good luck at one and was able to find some expensive pans on the cheap. Today they had junk on the cheap. What a waste of time.
Spoke with my dad. Apparently .1mg of medicine makes a difference? He sounds wiggly but better than he has in a while.
