I'm getting tired of hearing that anyone that disagrees with Israeli military action being labeled as antisemitic. Israel isn't this perfect state that can do wrong. Tattoo. Who's worse? The person that wants a tattoo and pays someone to do it? Or, the person who accepts money from a customer to graffiti all over their body and deface it?

I was on a spirit flight and I swear half the plane had visible tattoos. Most of them aren't very nice and often times have disturbing imagery. Demons, dragons and other assorted symbols. I wonder if they know what the Asian looking symbols mean? Being honest, I'd like to punch someone in the face with their tattoo. Or pick up a folding chair and go hulk hogan on their ass. They act like they're so tough. Pussies. Why don’t they put Covid in tattoo ink?

Tackle box on the face is just as bad. Some of these people look like Ferdinand the bull with that ring in their nose. How about I grab you by the nose ring and drag you around.

And why can't men act like men and women act like women? Gender confusion pisses me off. The idea gender is fluid and nonbinary makes no sense to me.

Stop wearing pajamas in public. Take off your sunglasses when indoors and conversing with someone. Get a comb. Cut your hair. Men don't wear their hair in a bun. A woman doesn't have a crew cut.

Men can't get pregnant. Women don't have dicks.

Surprise recording

Apparently there was a 1997 special edition release of the middle three Star Wars movies - A new hope, empire strikes back and return of the Jedi.

This particular collection was released for the 20th anniversary of Star Wars. What's interesting about this one is it was remastered and contains all the music from the film presented in chronological order. And was assembled by Mike Matessino, who does a lot of limited edition expanded releases of John Williams work.

The 6 cd set is also unique because the label side of the cd has a holographic print with Star Wars art. Each presentation contains detailed liner notes about the particular film in the saga which is always a treat.

I found the set online, used for a good deal. I'm listening to a new hope and it is the best sounding of all the original Star wars recordings in my collection. This makes version 3.

Threat to our democracy

I find it disturbing that the democratic presidential nominee did not earn a single primary vote. And she's at the top of the ticket.

I also find it odd that everyone is just going along with the scheme to essentially give Barack Obama 4 terms.

I can't stand robert Kennedy but he at least earned votes. Why isn't he top of ticket? Because those in power don't want him on the ballot.

The democrats accuse the republicans of doing everything they're doing. It makes no sense. None. Whatsoever.

And the media is right on cue to fall in line acting like it’s completely normal throwing their support behind her.

Whenever I'm with my peer group I feel like an outsider. Like I don't belong. I'm not in the club - but by title I am in the club. I should be with my people but I'm not. 🤷‍♂️

Economic Growth

The democrats are touting economic and job growth in the country.  Everyone I know who wants a job can't find a good paying one.  But what do I know?

If the government really wants a pulse on the economic situation in the country, I think they should strip out all jobs and manufacturing that has to do with the military apparatus.  All this military equipment, munition production, defense contract spending.  Take all of it out and I bet the economy is actually shrinking.

Israel is as bad a George Soros when it comes to owning politicians.  Netanyahoo came here to drum up support for a war with Iran.   Iran, Houthis, Palestine.  They're all connected.  You know - Iran wouldn't be a threat if Joe Biden didn't give them access to 650 billion dollars of cash stolen from Russia.  That bastard is literally funding a war against our supposed allies to leverage the power of nato to start WW3.

There are certain things about this country and those in power here and throughout the world that are absolutely despicable.  Cheerleading NATO is cheerleading continued violence.

How are all these old guys able to own corvettes and still have the dexterity to get in and out of them? I got rid of mine when I was 52 because I couldn't get out of it anymore…

My work

From time to time I enjoy going back and reading my work. I know it's not perfect and there are a few word or spelling errors here and there…. But I really write for me.

Some of it is mean, crude and some of it is personal and intimate. Sometimes I'm letting emotion out of my soul that I don't want to keep inside.

My body of work represents me and it's usually unfiltered. It's visceral, raw and at time absurd. I like that. As I read through it sometimes I laugh, too.

Life is good.

Auto Repair

I have been going to the same auto repair shop for a long time - like 30 years.  Only when we owned a Toyota, Honda, Acura or Lexus.  The last couple times, I have not been thrilled with the quality of work, the way I've been treated and the cost of services.  The owner is still great, but his staff sucks.  There's this guy named Ralph who is the customer facing service writer.  He's fat and he has tattoos all over his hands like Jesse James.  Every time I would bring a vehicle to him he would tell me something was soon needing replacement like a ball joint, a tie rod end or some rubber bushing.  I wouldn't have the work done because the suspension is tight and turns track properly.  At any rate, the next time I would come in for an oil change or something, he wouldn't tell me the same part was failing.  He'd find something else.  I'd be like WTH - if this part was failing last time why isn't it failing this time?

There were times when I'd get done talking to Ralph and the owner (Ian) would follow me out the door and tell me your car is fine and is in good shape.  Like WTH?  Your stupid service advisor just told me all this shit is wrong with my car and you're telling me it's fine?  Go fuck yourself.

Anyway two weeks ago I brought my car in for an oil change.  They told me the valve cover gaskets were failing and quoted $795.00 to have the valve cover gaskets and spark plug tube seals replaced on the car.  I knew the work needed to be done because at times you can smell oil burning off the exhaust manifold dripped from the valve covers.  I thought the price was too high...

When I had my corvette I started going to a small independent shop that was always super busy.  Usually a one to two week lead time to get work done.  They did excellent work on my corvette but don't like the lead time for the appointments.  I made an appointment for today and dropped my car off yesterday.  Charley called me this morning and informed me the price for the same work plus a cabin air filter.  The cost came up to $665.00.  That's 130 dollars less and I'm getting additional work done.  

I think this scenario goes back to having the right people on your team.  Ian has always been a straight shooter.  But what does he have this ass clown Ralph working for him?  Is Ralph screwing all their customers?? Is Ian in on it too?  But comes out to do damage control because I've known him over half my life?  Whatever the case may be - I won't be back to his shop.  I'll continue going to Charley's shop and deal with the wait time.  At least I won't be getting a screw job in the bung hole.

Happy

Just happy to be on the tail end of a difficult two week period. Challenges and disappointments galore. Realizing I made the right and wrong decision at the same time for my career. Knowing I along with my team worked together and averted complete disaster. The station is on life support but we're still standing.

Leaving work today I was just happy to leave with my head held high. I got to drive home, converse with my wife, eat dinner with my family, do the dishes and finally relax.

I come into my humble fortress of solitude and power up the stereo and crank up the expanded Jurassic park soundtrack.

Life is not perfect. At the same time life is good.

Ice cream

I finally cracked the code to making a half gallon of ice cream last longer than two weeks. Stop buying my favorite flavors and pick a marginal flavor. One that's okay but not great. Like vanilla strawberry. I've had this one for a month.

You are one stupid and arrogant son of a bitch. Saying you want to keep companies like blackrock from raising rents more than 5% a year is insulting. I don't know very many people that get a 5 percent raise a year. What you are doing is saying is in four years rent could increase 20%.

I suppose you have another stupid idea to give people money towards a down payment, especially if they're from under represented populations. Another crack pot idea that will infuse money into the economy and make inflation worse.

I don't understand how you don't make the connection between your policies and inflation.

If you really want to do something about inflation, change our domestic energy policy. Fuck your green new deal and electric vehicle push. Build the keystone pipeline. Tear up all the EPA laws
Prohibiting drilling on public land. Resume the oil and gas lease sales and drill baby drill. Lowering the cost of energy will tame inflation. High prices for consumer goods is directly tied to the cost of production as well as transporting raw materials and finished products.

Our country could become rich if we sold energy to other parts of the country. It is absolutely disgusting that you ask the Arabs to increase production while you're not allowing production at home. Let's buy oil from people who hate us instead of using our own resources. You dumb fuck.

Is your strategy to make sure America is the last country on earth with petroleum reserves? Is the reason you're not refilling the strategic petroleum reserve to force us off fossil fuels.

Windmills and solar is nice. But hey dipshit - solar and wind energy as to be stored. And storing energy requires batteries. Batteries are made with rare minerals that have to be mined. How is this any better for the planet than drilling for oil? I've never seen an oil field collapse. But then again I've never looked.

Anyone who is stupid enough to believe petroleum product comes from dead dinosaurs is an idiot. We would have run out long ago. I think the earth produces oil. The same way it produces other elements.  I think we are at risk of using oil faster than the earth can produce it.

Funeral

My sisters husband passed away. The viewing and funeral are this coming Monday. Me and my wife are going to represent our side of the family.

This is going to be awkward to say the least. From our perspective when my sister married she married out of our family and married into his family. The only time my parents saw them was on the day or two before Thanksgiving when they would drive from the north part of the state to the coast on the way to his parents house. They never came to visit just our parents and I don't think my parents were ever invited to their house. I also think we may have been very judgmental of his career choice.

Before I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder I would ride the manic high as long as I could as hard as I could. I damaged my relationship with him and his parents. As I explained to my dad I would crash through brick walls with my hair on fire and would fire off an email without whatever fleeting thought I had to whomever I wanted. I wrote them a letter when I was in character for my day in the life of Jesus blog and was pretty disrespectful and making a mockery out of organized religion…. I was an asshole and took a flame thrower to those relationships doing damage that I don't know if it can be undone or forgiven.

We didn't talk for at least a decade. That changed when my parents were struggling, trying to figure out what to do. When I sold their house and moved them into assisted living. Our relationship has improved exponentially. And also improved after the accident.

There is a family dinner on Sunday and I'm absolutely dreading going to it and my sister wants us to attend. I will come face to face with the people I was deliberately mean to. Navigating this will be difficult.

I’ll just sit in a corner or the kiddie table and try to be invisible. 

Politics

I remember as a kid talking politics was a taboo discussion in our household. My parents were hesitant to share who they voted for when I asked them. Who you voted for was a secret between the individual and the ballot. We didn't talk about political issues, platforms or policy ideas. It was a very private subject.

Somehow politics has become a sport for some people. It's become a sport to me and I like to see my team win and I love to see the other team lose. Maybe that's not good.

Over the last 40ish year, politics has become very public and very divisive.

That's interesting to me. Because I hate professional sports but I very much enjoy politics.

Maybe politics should be more muted in our culture. Interesting to thing about.

One thing to say about Trump - walking into an arena after being shot at - that man is fearless. Watching him walk into the arena he seemed to be emotional and strangely reserved.

This will be interesting to watch to see what change will come about in how each side talk about their opponent.

Damage has been done on both sides to our culture. I've been damaged by the political landscape. Humanity needs to return to our culture. I'm not talking about all this dei bullshit being thrown in our faces. I'm talk about a return to civility. Don't know how to fully express what I'm thinking. Will chew on it some more in hopes of gaining clarity in thought.

 Brothers and Sisters - It is with a heavy heart I brought Brother Kevorkian home to heaven.  He made an initial investment in our timeshare program long ago.  And now, that investment has paid off.  He is enjoying his little room in my mansion; only this one has windows instead of bars.  At any rate....

Brother Kevorkian was one of my trusted advisors and his work was never completed while here on project Earth.  Man, I could rely on him to take care of business when modern medicine got in the way of progress.  Remember that guy with Lou Gerhigs disease he killed...  Finally.  I tried 3x and struck out.  So, I enlisted brother Kevorkian.  He took care of it in a matter of days.  We were both so proud of this accomplishment.  It was aired on 60 minutes.  From then on, life got complicated and we were forced to dis-associate from each other.  Jack - Thanks for taking one for the team!

Think of Dr. Death (his nickname I gave him)  Kind to think of it, I only give nicknames (pet names) to people I like.  It's something Dubya and I have in common.  He had "brownie" and I have "dr. death."  I like mine better - they're much more original and fitting?  Brownie?  Isn't that some kind of junior girl scout or cookie?  Made by Betty CrOCKer.  Oh wait.  I thought Betty CROCker invented those shoes all the kids wear that can be hosed down and dried quickly to clean.  I especially love the jibbits.  Jibbits for Jesus.  I must alert the board of Jesus!, Inc. to explore this money making opportunity.

Stuck in the past?

My wife says I'm stuck in the past and resistant to change.  She sites my preference for older cars and older technology.  Better yet, the shunning of new technology.  If the old stuff still works, I don't see the need to upgrade.  

Her discussion stems from the fact that I purchase used stereo equipment on eBay and finding good units is becoming challenging.  I bought a pioneer 6 disc changer that got damaged during shipment.  The lens to the laser usually detaches during shipping and all you have to do is open the unit and glue it into place and it's good for a few years.  Well that didn't work.  Why are you buying old junk?  Because I like it.  Why don't you buy something newer?  Because it's not the same.  It's made cheaper and doesn't have the same feature set.  Most of the stuff today is disposable garbage made on the cheap unless it's expensive high end gear.  I guess it's a symptom of society where there is either inexpensive cheap junk or expensive quality products with little in the middle. 

I recently purchased a mint looking Pioneer SX-535 receiver.  When I received it, the left channel didn't work.  So it's in the shop now.  Why did I buy it?  Because it's nostalgic.  That was the receiver we had in our house when I was a kid.  It's where I learned about John Williams, Johan Sebastian Bach, John Denver and the Boston Pops.  When I went to college my Dad gave it to me - either that or I took it.  I'm not sure which.  When me and my wife got married, I sold the entire rig at a garage sale.  In hindsight, that is a regret.  As mentioned in a previous post I am thinking about downsizing my gear to something more appropriate to my space because I don't think I'll ever have a dedicated listening space.  So...  we shall see if my technician can get the Pioneer repaired.  Then we'll see how it sounds. 

When I dropped the unit off, I told the technician it had sentimental value and shared the story with him.  He also purchased the same gear his Dad had and has it in the fleet.  I guess I'm not so weird after all.

Tonight’s Presser

Interesting. It started super late. It ended abruptly. Hearing KJP saying it was over was priceless. Joe was starting to go off the rails and on cue they ended it.

It was so obvious he had to really think about places and names as he spoke. And he did that weird thing where he leans into the mic and does that whisper thing as he repeats himself multiple like a crazy man as his eyes shift back and fourth or he gets that weird rapid dog look with all his teeth showing.

Since the presser started late, I wonder if they were juicing him up. When he walked out on stage I bet they had a countdown timer and when it expired he was done. Actually, I bet the cut him off before the timer expired because he was starting mumble and string together a bunch of nonsense.

He had to call on people for questions from a list. I bet their questions were screened in advance of the list being put in his portfolio.

"Well anyway" is a device he's devised to stop himself when he's rambling or loses his train of thought. An abrupt Hail Mary recovery.

I hate the way Joe communicates. I hate his ideas. I hate his policies. I hate how he sticks up for his drug and sex addicted son. I think down deep he is a mean old bastard. And his folks comments and sharing made up anecdotes from his father is a front he's developed to be more relatable to common folk. He's a fraud. I despise him.

What's also interesting he's a narcissist. He believes he has all the answers and wants to finish the job he's started. If you ask me that job is to create equity so people who have no merit aren't destined to being losers for the rest of the their lives l. He expects those of us who have worked our rear ends off to subsidize their otherwise miserable and pathetic lives.

Covid is over

One thing that irritates me is people continuing to work remotely. As someone who has to go to work, I do not appreciate getting on a teams meeting and seeing the person leading the meeting in their home. Like wth- get your ass to work like the rest of us. From my perspective you have no credibility sitting in your den or kitchen table.

Vrbo and other similiar sites

I read an article stating these online booking platforms for vacation rentals don't do anything to protect guests against video surveillance by the property owners. Interesting.

Next time I rent a vrbo or whatever I'm stripping buck naked in the middle of the master bedroom grabbing my butt cheeks and spreading them out. Then I'll bend slightly at the waist so my butt is sticking out and do a slow 360 degree rotation. Just for fun.

The first

One of my best friends became the first in my circle of friends. The first to lose a parent. His father died today. He'd been in memory care for a few years and today he went on to the other side.

I was an obnoxious kid - for those who know me I'm an obnoxious adult too. Anyway…. I used to give Mr Carson a hard time - my favorite question to ask him was 'what's the difference between an orange?' I used to get such a laugh asking him that. This started in high school and went all the way through our adult lives - to the last time I saw him maybe a decade ago…

He had good taste in music and audio. Me and my friend Sean would listen to organ music, classical and more of the gen x hair band stuff on his dad's system. It was a fisher with speakers that must've had 12 inch woofers. We'd crank it up real loud and go outside to hear how it sounded to the passerbys. It was loud outside so you know we were playing music way too loud.

We also did stupid things with his car. We'd had both his car and my car in the air about 6 feet jumping over a hill with them floored. Such good times.

The stupid things we did that neither of our parents know about or admit to knowing about.

I know my parents days are numbered. Don't know how many they have left. It's a reality check when one of your buddies calls and says my dad died.

Rest in peace Mr Carson.

Defective

Missing the part of the soul that has empathy, sympathy and compassion for other people, especially people I don't know.

Perhaps it is part of being part of Gen X. It was a rough upbringing. But whose upbringing is perfect or easy?

All people deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. Walk a mile in their shoes. We're all dealing with or going something. What if that was you? Yadayadayada.

That part of me is broken. It wasn't a perfect childhood. Am I modeling an uncaring, cold a callous man for my children?

I tried to raise my children the 'right' way. Whatever that means. Maybe all I've done is shown them what not to do.

May they be kinder and more compassionate than me. If they are, it's thanks to their mother. If they're not, it's my fault. I have to live with that.

It's unfortunate - most people have given him a pass for so long with his nonstop gaffes whenever he's in public. He's been handled with kid gloves with stupid questions about his favorite icecream or making late night show appearances embracing his dark brandon persona with his ray ban sunglasses.

It's offensive how the media has protected him. They are not unbiased reporters of fact. They are promoters of propaganda; participating in the gaslighting of the citizenry.

 Joe Biden has made it easy for america to hate elderly people - by not stepping down with dignity but stubbornly continuing to soldier on to be president for the next four years.  It's like trying to take away a drivers license from an elderly person that is a hazard to themselves as well as everyone around them.  Lock him for endangering america and not being in control of the country.  Lock his handlers and staff up for gaslighting and allowing this to happen as well as making policy decisions that they have not been elected to do.  Joe Biden doesn't know where he is half the time.

 Are democrats more liberal than conservatives because they are more educated or because they've been indoctrinated?

Every time I read about one of JOe's policies or ideas I want to strangle that man.  Literally.  We wants to extend overtime provisions for workers.  He wants weight loss drugs to be cheaper.  He's complaining about "shrinkflation" pre Super Bowl.  He complains about greedy companies.  He wants tax cuts to expire.  He complains about the Supreme Court.  He's a loser.

It's absolutely disgusting to see the liberals and democrats circle the wagons around this dementia ridden elderly man to protect him and his reputation.  The media is telling America not to believe what we see with our own eyes.  Our eyes are lying to us.   Do these people really think we are this stupid?  It is offensive at the lengths they will go to defend this mentally failing old man that should have retired a decade ago.  

His brain and body are failing him.  He freezes.  He stares out into space.  He can't complete a coherent sentence.  He can barely walk.  He can't find his way off a stage.  He falls off his bicycle.  He falls going up the stairs of airforce 1.  He falls going down the stairs of airforce 1.  He wanders off.  The easter bunny redirects him when he starts going off the rails when answering questions.  He turns his back on the media.  He falls asleep during UN meetings.  He is barely able to function between 0800-1600.  He suffers from sundowning.  He mumbles and can barely read his teleprompter.  He is an absolute failure without his teleprompter.  He's either angry or incoherent.  He doesn't know who's dead or alive on the global stage.  He confuses his wife and his sister.  He thinks his son has done nothing wrong.  He sniffs kids.  He showers with minors.  He has to be led off the stage at a fundraising event by his master.  His wife worships the ground he walks on and then turns around and treats him like an imbecile.  You did such a great job.  You answered all the questions.  Get the fuck out of here.

Social Media

What started out as an electronic wishbook - aka directory of students on college campuses with pictures turned into a way for those students to communicate with each other and share their goings ons with the rest of the community.  Then it became a place to share pictures.  And overtime it has turned into something else completely.

It's turned into a propaganda machine, a censorship machine and, most interesting to me, an instrument that allows regular people to think they have relationships with celebrities and brands.  And when I think about it that way, I' like wtf?

Pierce Brosnan posts a picture of himself with two other celebrity friends drinking a beer with a caption that says, "Love relaxing with these guys after a good game of golf."  And what follows is a bunch of stupid comments from the peasants with stupid comments like "Have a great time." or "Good to spend time with friends" "Enjoy the day" and all this other stupid shit.  Guess what?  Pierce Brosnan doesn't even read your stupid comments.  He'll never respond to you.  He doesn't care about you.  He cares about you coming to see his latest film or watching his old ones.  You are a dollar sign.  You don't have a friendship with him and he doesn't have a friendship with you.

Or Tom Hanks posting a picture of him and his wife walking on the beach with their kids.  Beautiful family.  What a great night.  Beautiful sunset.  Blessed with such a beautiful family or whatever.  What a bunch of losers thinking Tom Hanks will ever read your comments. 

It's a way for you to feel like you have a relationship/friendship with your favorite star.  You don't.  

Same with brands.  Except there's some intern in the marketing department that may reply to your stupid comment.  Take for example Lexus showing a picture of the new LS500.  Then some underling posts a picture of his vintage LS400 stating it has 250,000 miles.  Lexus responds and says "That's a really beauty" or great cars today just as they were yesterday.  And the original poster gets all happy that Lexus acknowledged them.  It's ridiculous.  

They say people enjoy interacting with brands.  WTF?  I may think Paradigm makes good speakers but I'm not going to post anything under their picture of the latest shiny new thing.  OOOO can't wait for that.  I bet they sound amazing.  We are idiots.

Maybe it says more about society than anything else.  We'd rather interacting with brands and celebrities on a screen than interact with our neighbors.

I'm turning into a luddite.  Luddite - a person opposed to new technology or ways of working.  The dictionary says the term is derogatory.  Funny.  I view it as a compliment.  

Just remember... celebrities don't care about you.  Never have.  Never will.  All they care about is themselves and you purchasing whatever product they're slinging.  And in turn because people interact with them, they suddenly feel like they have influence.  Because they're in front of a camera.  They're paid to pretend something so well that you think it's real.  

If you make your living in front of a camera - I can honestly say I hate you.
