Man…. I am on a tear lately with John Williams recordings. The man is 92 years old. I don’t know how much life he’s got left. I’ve got this HUGE FOMO complex right now. Not only am I collecting the limited pressings but also collecting outstanding performances of his work by other people and ensembles.
This is completely irrational and compulsive. These rare recordings will either become impossible to find or they will all be re-released upon his passing and the market will be flooded. Yes, the mainstream releases are easy to procure. It’s the special editions by the boutique labels I’m worried about. The deep cuts that aren’t worthy of the commercial release. IDK - maybe I’m losing my marbles.
