Authority has a credibility problem. The government no longer lets people make decisions for themselves. The government they know better than the people they represent and that is a problem.
It all started with Covid. Anyone who bought into that nonsense is stupid. They talked like humanity was going to be exterminated over an airborne virus akin to the flu. That was not the case. Instead they destroyed the economy through their stupid shelter in place policy and pumping money into the economy because people couldn’t work. The more money pumped into the economy, the less valuable it becomes and inflation sets in. We still haven’t recovered.
I also think the war on fossil fuels is misguided at best and the high cost of energy is what the administration wants to curb use and reduce emissions. It’s a way to force people to change their behavior by making their current behavior cost more. It’s a penalty.
New flash. Oil is energy and oil was put on this planet to burn.
Fed up with the administration’s regulating of industry. It is not to governments job to anything but govern. Not their job to shape industry, behavior or the way our world works. That is the markets job and the people’s job. It’s our government is to be by the people for the people. Now it’s turned into by the people for the lefts agenda.
The problem is non-elected bureaucrats are making policy the rest of us haven’t agreed to. Why are we taking advice from John Kerry l, Al gore and bill gates? Two careee politicians and a computer nerd. What do they know about the science of anything?
I think back to people who’ve had influence into my political and societal thinking. As a kid I bought into the democrats view of equality, environment, human rights and blah blah blah. Then Ross Perot came around and opened my eyes to the problems of governmental system and its flaws.
The only person who made any sense of society was Rush Limbaugh. Yes. Rush. He questioned everything. His ideas made sense. His arguments were easy to understand. And that’s why Trump made sense to me. Those in power want everything to be complicated and nuanced. Trump and rush didnt. They made complex problems simple. Vivek Ramaswamy tried to do the same thing but none of his arguments are well thought out. He’s still in little league trying to play in the majors.
Nikki Haley has started have conversations with the likes of Larry fink and other liberal nutjobs because they have the money she needs. She’ll get her money and sell herself out. They always do.
I think Speaker Johnson may be a politician worth listening to. He seems to have common sense. I don’t know.
At any rate…. I wish the government would leave people and industry alone. I don’t believe in climate change. I don’t believe in globalism. I don’t believe in government through regulation. I don’t believe climate change is the most existential crisis of our time. I don’t believe in military intervention in the problems of other parts of the world. I believe in a secure border. I believe in free markets. I believ our economy should be decoupled from China. Globalism is not in our best interest. It’s in Chinas best interest.
